Better For You

"Better For You" is a digital platform designed for young girls to unapologetically ask questions about their health and learn from other women. This project challenged me to design a website that is personally meaningful and educational within the internet design field.

In my first year at Baruch College, as the Head of Marketing and co-founder of Our B.I.A.S., I designed this club's website to align with the mission to promote body positivity.

Better For You Mockup

Problem

Young women don't have a space to discuss health concerns as well as credible people to discuss it with. With the overwhelming shame that comes with discussing female oriented issues and a male dominated society that continues to perpetuate this idea, women are oftentimes stuck dealing with their issues alone and afraid.

Solution

Better For You is a platform, designed for women, by women, with the goal of creating an immersive and open space in which young women may share concerns about their bodies. Women may post discussion boards about their health concerns in which other women may respond to their health issues, sharing their experiences and own solutions about their problems. Accredited doctors will be factchecking responses to ensure accuracy and will help to create a welcoming and comforting environment.
